This video takes a closer look at the functionality of the 3 operation modes available on your Valor Plus or Max Remote. To set the daytime temperature of your fireplace in temp mode, cycle through modes using the set button until you see temp with a sun icon on your screen. Once you are in daytime temp mode, press and hold the set button until the display flashes. Then use the high and low flame buttons to set the desired temperature. Press the off button or wait 10 seconds to confirm the temperature. Repeat this same process by cycling through modes until you see temp with the moon icon to set your night time set back temperature.
Manual mode is used to adjust the height of the flame and overrides all other programmed modes. Pressing the high flame button will increase the flame and heat, while the low flame button will decrease the flame and heat. This will leave the fireplace in manual mode. Pressing and holding the low flame button will take the fireplace down to standby, with only the pilot light on. To turn the fireplace completely off, press and hold the off button.
In timer mode, you have the option to set up to 2 heating cycles for 2 different times in the day. To enter timer mode, press the set button until you see timer on your screen. Once in timer mode, press and hold the set button until the time flashes. The default setting for P1 with a sun corresponds to the first heating cycle start time. Use the high and low flame buttons to set the hour and minute of your heating cycle start time. To set the heating cycle end time, press and hold the set button until you see P1 and a moon. Use the high and low flame button to set the end time hour and minute. To set a second heating cycle, repeat the same instructions by pressing the set button until you see P2 with a sun icon. The 2 heating cycles cannot have overlapping times. If you would only like to set one heating cycle, P2 and P1 must be set to the exact same time. Please note, the timer mode uses the daytime and night time temperatures programmed in the temp sun and temp moon modes.
